Central Waterfront Navigation Center

Description

The Central Waterfront Navigation Center will serve as a critical piece of the City’s response to the homelessness crisis, by creating a transitional housing solution that is a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment for people, pets, and their belongings. The center will provide a place to sleep, meals, facilities for personal hygiene and unified access to City services, including counseling, community services, and integrated mobile medical and mental health care services. The project utilizes modular portable building units that can be relocated in the future leaving minimal impact to the street infrastructure. The facility will feature dormitory beds, a community room/dining area, staff offices, restrooms and showers, laundry and storage facilities; as well as courtyards with outdoor seating, planters, and picnic tables.
