ARCHITECT
Habitat Mod
Description
Habitat Mod was a proposal for the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate in Columbus, Ohio. Homes were organized and oriented on a plot of land to take advantage of an efficient layout and maximize passive sustainability features. In addition, the homes were designed to ‘expand’and ‘shrink’ as families do, beginning with a simple studio and offering the addition of two more bedrooms which can be left on or later removed and reused. The feature speaks to a family and accommodated their fluctuation through generations.
