Description
Habitat for Humanity Easy Bay /  Silicon Valley is a non-profit organization focused on creating affordable housing in the bay area. The projects featured communities of 10+ homes which were constructed simultaneously. The homes are volunteer-built and led by AmeriCorps Construction Crew Leaders.

Duties
Supervising, leading, and training crews of over 20 volunteers per day
Ensuring LEED Platinum Certification through the use of sustainable practices
Wood light frame construction including foundations, framing, siding, roofing, installation of windows, doors, floors and cabinetry, painting, tiling, finishes
Take-offs for ordering supplies such as lumber, paint, tile
Enforcing a safe work environment
Maintaining power tools

Tools Used
Table saw, circular saw, hand drill, paint sprayer, forklift, sander, nail gun, and more
